Striving for human equality, and awareness of mutual respect. Honesty, truthfulness, care and respect for each other are the driving forces in her work in one word ‘True Love’.

We may be amazed.

Ans mentioned that for her creating out of stone is something that has been done for as long as human beings wander on this earth. It developed towards shaping amulets, objects and statues to worship for instance the Venus van Willendorf from the Upper Paleolithic period towards the Hellenistic period when there was a search to create a certain perfect image of the human embodiment. The propaganda, the stories and the transmission of everyday life through sculptures in stone. 

Her fascination with human movement, the current conditions, times and the ways we perceive to create and destroy ‘so these times’ influence my ways of creating together with the stone and its being. 

Een dromer, een denker, gewoon zijn en niet doen alsof.

Een wezen dat kwetsbaar en krachtig is, een danser in communicatie, deze tegenstellingen zijn geworteld vanuit een diepe intentie om dichter te komen bij haar eigen ik. een poging tot het begrijpen van in wat voor een menselijke en niet-menselijke wereld wij  leven.

Autodidact beeldhouwster, het vermogen om te creëren is iets dat van binnenuit komt.

Technieken en manieren van werken ontwikkelden zich in de loop van de tijd, door studie, blootstelling en experimenteren met verschillende materialen en redeneringen ingebed in technieken uit de oudheid. Altijd werken met de kracht en het vermogen van de handen vanuit een onbewuste gedachte.

Streven naar menselijke gelijkheid, en bewustzijn van wederzijds respect. Eerlijkheid, waarachtigheid, zorgzaamheid en respect voor elkaar zijn de drijfveren in haar werk in één woord ‘True Love’. Wij mogen weer versteld staan.

Ans zei dat het maken van steen voor haar iets is dat al wordt gedaan zolang er mensen op deze aarde ronddwalen. Het ontwikkelde zich in de richting van het vormen van amuletten, voorwerpen en beelden om bijvoorbeeld de Venus van Willendorf te aanbidden vanaf de laat-paleolithische periode tot de hellenistische periode, toen er werd gezocht naar een bepaald perfect beeld van de menselijke belichaming. De propaganda, de verhalen en de overdracht van het dagelijks leven door middel van sculpturen in steen.

Haar fascinatie voor menselijke beweging, de huidige levensomstandigheden, tijden en de manieren waarop we waarnemen om ‘zo deze tijden’ beïnvloeden mijn manieren om samen met de steen en zijn wezen te creëren.

aAs a woman sometimes I feel like putting aside the war I’m in and living peacefully within the framework of traditions and social values that guide the daily life of a woman in this society.  But seeing a strong woman as Ans and her incredible work that empowers women it gives me the inspiration and will to fight every day; to go against the roles assigned to us, to be aware and to be proud of being a woman struggling with all the headaches.
